Eric A. Montgomery, Esq., is the owner of The Montgomery Law Firm, PLLC since 2009 where he practices in the areas of Employment Law, Civil Litigation, Estates and Business Law. He previously served as an Assistant General Counsel for Bank of America, SCANA Services, Inc. and Flagstar Corporation. His legal career began with the law firm of Plunkett & Cooney in Detroit, Michigan. A native of Charlotte, NC, Montgomery is a graduate from West Charlotte Senior High. He attended North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. He obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from Marquette University Law School. Montgomery is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, The Mecklenburg County Bar and the John S. Leary Bar Association. He is admitted to the Western District, Middle District and Eastern District of the US District Courts of North Carolina, and the Southern District of the US District Court of New York. He is a member of Pi Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated and he frequently presents on issues that affect the greater community. In 2006, Montgomery was named as Co-Recipient of the Howard B. Eisenberg Award from the Marquette University Law School Alumni Association for recognition of outstanding community service. During that same year, he was elected to the NCCU Athletic Hall of Fame as a Contributor. Montgomery is married to the former Kimberly Melton and they are the proud parents of two children who are accomplished ballroom dancers.
